Terms and Conditions

All blends are subject to availability. All prices are subject to change. All prices are subject to any state and/or local sales tax. All delivery prices are subject to change.

All orders must be paid for before the order is processed and placed. Customers are responsible for providing SodLawn with square footage of sod to be delivered and we will advise you to the nearest square footage quantity we are able to cut and deliver. We recommend ordering an additional 3% for sod cut waste and imperfect sod rolls.

All orders are subject to truck availability. Please place orders at least 2-5 days in advance of delivery. Changes made to any order need to be completed before 9:00 am 1 business day prior to delivery. Large changes to the order may not be available because of trucking restrictions.

Delivery:

It is the customer’s responsibility to notify SodLawn if there are any problems getting a large Semi delivery truck (60+ ft) to their location. If the delivery truck cannot access the customer’s location to deliver the sod, SodLawn will only act as a median of information between our partners/growers/supplier to seek resolution. The partner/grower/supplier may offer a resolution to the customer if they desire, (including dropping at the closest location the driver can safely access). In no way does the non-delivery of goods, because of non-access or unsafe access with the delivery truck or forklift, change the fact that SodLawn is entitled to full payment for the undeliverable order.

Delivery times cannot be requested or guaranteed. Delivery times are subject to change at any time for any reason. This could include truck breakdowns, weigh station delays, or traffic. Reimbursement or compensation of any type will not be given if delivery is not made during the time frame given nor will SodLawn reimburse for standby time of labor if delivery is late or is unable to deliver. Delivery times can range from 3 am - 3 pm in the day. It is rare that orders go as late as 2 pm and we strive to get all orders delivered before 2pm, however routing/trucking are constantly changing day by day and our trucking is influenced by many outside forces, like traffic. Please be patient if your delivery is subject to a late delivery time.

All deliveries are dropped curbside unless otherwise requested and a release of liability waiver is signed. Deliveries will be made to the closest available area to the address as possible and we do not guarantee location of delivery at property if we do not have access to deliver with our forklifts. If the owner of the property would like a delivery made on the property with the forklift, a release of liability must be signed and sent in no later than 1 business day before 9 am. If this deadline is missed and the property owner would like to wait for the truck driver to show up they are able to sign a release of liability at time of delivery. Truck drivers/delivery drivers will not call the owner or look for the owner at time of delivery.

Courtesy delivery time emails are generally sent to the customer for delivery and installation of the sod the day before between the hours of 2pm - 4 pm.

Order Modifications or Cancelation:

Orders may not be canceled after 9:00 am 1 business day prior to the delivery date. For deliveries on Monday, cancellations must be made by 4:00 pm the Friday before. Large order cancellations need to be made no later than 2 business days prior to delivery. To cancel an order you must talk to a Sodlawn representative directly over the phone. No cancellations can be made via email, text, voice mail or fax. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8-5pm and Saturdays from 8-12pm.

Weather Conditions:

In instances of inclement weather, there may be occasions when the farms are unable to harvest. In such cases, SodLawn or its Partner/Grower/Supplier will reschedule orders for the next available shipment to the customer's area. SodLawn is committed to keeping customers informed of any changes stemming from weather conditions as they occur. Our aim is to provide timely notifications, ensuring transparency and enabling customers to stay updated on any adjustments related to their orders. The customer holds the right to reschedule or cancel the order due to inclement weather, with changes communicated to SodLawn by 9:00 a.m. on the business day preceding the scheduled delivery. Given SodLawn's extensive service area, it becomes the customer's responsibility to promptly notify SodLawn of any necessary changes. In the event of adverse weather conditions affecting installation services, it is imperative for the customer to inform SodLawn promptly. Failure to do so, resulting in the installation crew's inability to proceed due to issues like standing water or unprepared ground, may incur a charge of $250.00 per hour for standby time.

General:

At times, mechanical equipment breakdowns are inevitable. Both SodLawn and our Partner/Grower/Supplier are dedicated to making every effort to fulfill your order on the requested delivery date. If unforeseen mechanical issues prevent the delivery on the specified date, your order will be scheduled for the next available shipment to your area. If the order cannot be delivered on the scheduled day due to mechanical equipment failure, credit will be provided for the order amount exclusively. Please note that no additional compensation will be offered for any lost time or wages incurred as a result.

A person with authority must be present at the time of installation.

SodLawn and our partner/grower/supplier reserves the right to delay any order.

Product Quality Resolution:

Pictures must be provided on same day of delivery for problems related to your sod and/or installation of our team. Once the pictures are reviewed, we will determine whether we need to involve the partner/grower/supplier which was used for the particular sod order in question. If problems arise with the order/sod quality immediately call SodLawn and we will begin a trouble ticket. If a trouble ticket is not opened within 24 hours of the delivery it becomes very difficult to resolve any problems as sod is a perishable item.

Sod is a perishable item, SodLawn is not liable for the replacement due to the lack of water/care. We are acting only as the median of information from the partner/growers/suppliers for our customer.

RETURN POLICY:

Due to the perishable nature of our products, all the products offered through our website are non-refundable under any circumstances. All sales are final, and no exceptions will be made. We will not be liable for any products purchased by mistake.

When an order is processed with SodLawn the customer accepts and agrees in full to these terms and conditions, our order process, and must abide by our sod care guide, or one provided by the grower/supplier.

Installation Refund/Hold Policy:

SodLawn strictly adheres to a no-refund policy for installation or partial installation, regardless of the circumstances. It is the responsibility of the owner or person placing the order to make necessary adjustments for varying conditions, including but not limited to weather conditions, construction, traffic restriction and so forth.

For smaller installations covering less than 5,000 sq ft, cancellations or rescheduling to another date can be accommodated with a notice of 1 business day, provided it is communicated no later than 9 A.M. on the day preceding the scheduled installation date. However, after 9 A.M., 1 business day prior to the installation date, no cancellations or placing on hold of installations can be processed.

Larger orders, exceeding 5,000 sq ft, require a lead time of 2 business days, with notification to be made at or before 9 A.M. No partial refunds will be offered if not all the sod was installed onsite or if overage sod is left onsite.

Limitation of Liability: In no event shall SodLawn be liable for any damages (including but not limited to loss of anticipated profits) in connection with or arising from all SodLawn products and services, and/or all partners/growers/suppliers products and services, including, but not limited to the furnishing, functioning, use, distribution or marketing of any related item or service provided by SodLawn or Partner/Grower/Supplier.
