How Sod Delivery Works

April 24, 2020 ● Lawn Care

You placed your order for new sod, and now all you need to do is wait for it to be delivered. With SodLawn, you won’t have to wait for long to boast a beautiful landscape, as we aim to deliver all orders on time and in a professional manner. We believe in providing delivery services that are prompt and reliable, and that’s just what you will get when you order your new sod from us!

Our delivery services are affordable and extremely convenient for our customers throughout California. We make sure to inform our customers on everything they’ll need to know when they place a sod delivery order from our company.

Placing an Order

All delivery prices are subject to change.

All orders must be fully paid for before they are processed and ordered. Customers are responsible to provide SodLawn with the proper square footage of sod to be delivered, so we can advise you to the nearest square footage quantity we are able to cut and deliver.

Placing an order is subject to truck availability. Please place orders at least two to five days in advance of your desired delivery date. Changes made to any order need to be completed before 8:30 a.m. the day prior to delivery, and large changes to the order may not be available because of trucking restrictions.

Delivery Time

Delivery times cannot be requested or guaranteed and are subject to change at any time for any reason, such as truck breakdowns, weigh station delays or traffic. Reimbursement or compensation of any type will not be given if the delivery is not made during the time frame given, nor will SodLawn reimburse customers for standby time of labor if the delivery is late or unable to be delivered.

Delivery times can range from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m., although it’s rare that orders go as late as 2 p.m. We strive to get all orders delivered before noon daily. Please be patient if your delivery is subjected to a late delivery time.

Truck Access at Your Location

If there are any problems getting a large delivery truck within 60 feet of the customer’s property, it’s important that you notify us prior to scheduling a delivery. If our delivery truck can’t get to the location, we will only act as a median of information between our partners/growers/supplier to come up with a resolution. In no way does the non-delivery of goods, because of lack of accessibility or unsafe access with the delivery truck change the fact that SodLawn is entitled to full payment for the particular undeliverable order.

Where We Deliver Your Order

We will deliver your order curbside, to the closest available area to the address as we can get. We do not guarantee the location of delivery if we do not have access to deliver with our forklifts. If you would like the delivery made on the property with the forklift, a release of liability must be signed and sent in no later than at 11 a.m. on the day before delivery. If this deadline is missed and you would like to wait for the truck driver to show up, they are able to sign a release of liability at the time of delivery. The truck driver/delivery drivers won’t call or look for the customer at the time of delivery.

If you have any additional questions about SodLawn’s delivery policies and procedures, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We strive to keep our customer’s well informed of their order status and our delivery service. Find out more or discuss your specific delivery needs with us by calling 888-763-5296 today.
